Szolnok City Symphony Orchestra was founded by a conductor, Bali Jozsef, in 1965. The orchestra performs more than 120 concerts in their own season all over the world under the founder B. Jozsef, and its music director and resident conductor, M. Izaki. The orchestra also hosts Szolnok music week, which takes place every spring, and performed with such conductors as Helmuth Rilling, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Daniel Barenboim, and with outstanding soloists like Jean-Pierre Rampal, Maurice Andre and Emmanuel Pahud.
